It raises these optics to a precise height, positioning the optical center line at 2.26 inches above the rail. This aids the shooter in many diffrent areas, Including shooting passively with Night Vision or shooting with a gas mask. It also helps get the sight in in line with the shooters vision, speeding up time on target.
